Militants and sympathisers of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement, the CPDM in the North West Region have called on President Paul Biya, Chairman of the party, to launch his campaigns in Bamenda.

She stressed that the CPDM was born in Bamenda and has been planted across all the 360 subdivisions of Cameroon. 40 years after, it is time to revisit the maternity of the party and kick off a historic campaign in 2025.

"This hall is the CPDM' maternity ward, a testament of our resilience." Senator Mundi said.

She used the celebration of the Ruby Jubilee of the CPDM to call for coordinated action on the field especially the mobilisation of the women and the youth.

The Cameroon People's Democratic Movement has gone through a rough part in the North West Region. From 1990 when multiparty politics was reintroduced in Cameroon, the fortunes of the party dwindled across the region but in 2020, the party won 33 of the 34 council seats, 18 of the 20 national Assembly seats and 90/90 Regional Assembly members. The party have 9/10 senators in the region.  The renewed fortune of the CPDM is anchored on peace and development.

He called on all and Sundry to safeguard the gains made in 2018, 2020 and 2023. To the local party leaders, he reminded them to work in tandem for the victory of the party in their respective sections.
