Help for the Helpless, a Non-governmental Organization based in old town Bamenda has come to the aid of a young boy, who was suffering from severe stomach aches.
As explained by the baby's caregiver, Evelyn Neishu, the baby was feeling excruciating pain around his abdomen and could barely walk and play with his mates.
As days went by, the young Zion Sion Muwi could not take it any longer and was quickly rushed to the Bamenda Regional Hospital where a series of tests were run on him to determine the cause of the pain.
On Friday 14th March, Zion had to undergo a surgery.
Coming from a humble background, the office of Help for the Helpless was quickly ceased by the family, in deep pain of restoring the health of their son.
"I want to thank Help for the Helpless charity organization for coming to our aid. We were already giving up because we did not have the money to carry the surgery. When we ran to them, they quickly mobilized funds and came to hospital for the operation. The Doctors told us at the end that it was successful." Evelyn said.
In a visit to the hospital, the CEO of Help for Helpless, Madam Kouh Juliette was visibly satisfied.
"We are thrilled that the resources we were able to mobilize have saved the life of the young Zion." She said.
After the operation, it was discovered that Zion needs further surgery around the legs to fully restore his health.
