While handing over the licenses, Senator Enwe emphasized the importance of peace and urged the riders to contribute to making the North West region beautiful again. "We the politicians want to live here and work towards the development of our region. I urged you all not to heed to calls to cause chaos in our lovely region. The North West is a peaceful place and when there is peace, it is enjoyed by all and Sundry. Use your bikes to work for the development of the region." The Senator said.

On behalf of the bike riders in Mezam, their President, Ndi Mayeme, expressed his joy towards the Senators positive response to their worries that was presented to him. "We, the Bike Riders Union of Mezam, are thrilled to express our heartfelt gratitude to Senator Enwe Francis for his remarkable support. Previously, many of our members lacked licenses, leading to harassment on the roads. Some were even forced to flee during control checks, putting themselves and passengers at risk." Mayeme said.

"We appealed to Senator Enwe for assistance, and he responded positively. His efforts have brought us immense relief, and we are deeply thankful. We kindly request that he continues to support us, as there are still some members who require licenses." The President concluded.

In a broader call to action,  Senator Enwe emphasized the importance of unity and collective effort in driving development. "We have to work together," he urged them, acknowledging that the year 2025 will be complex, particularly with presidential elections on the horizon.

On this, he called on the bike riders to remain steadfast, focused and avoid being manipulated by people who want power at all cost.

The donation to bike riders comes a few months after he worked tirelessly for some separatist fighters to drop their weapons and work for peace in Widikum Subdivision.

Senator Enwe Francis was elected into the Senate in 2023 and he represents the North West constituency.
