The Principal of Presbyterian Comprehensive High School (PCHS) Wum, Ayo Kenneth, has expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Wum Council, Dighambong Anthony, for donating a five-burner gas cooker to the school's Food Science Department.
The donation ceremony took place at the school campus, where students and staff welcomed the gift with enthusiasm. Many praised the donation, stating that it would enhance the school's culinary programs and food preparation skills.
The Principal Ayo Kenneth thanked Mayor Dighambong Anthony, saying, "On behalf of the administration and students, I extend our heartfelt gratitude for your selfless efforts. Our students promise to utilize the gas cooker effectively and produce outstanding results."
The mayor's donation demonstrates the strong partnership between the council and the institution. It also highlights the council's commitment to supporting educational activities in Wum.
Students at the assembly were visibly excited about the donation and appreciated the council's support. Ayo Kenneth reassured them that PCHS Wum remains dedicated to providing its students with a well-rounded education despite challenges.
The cooker will aid in the training of students in the domain of baking both in Food science and in Home Economics. It takes a perfect drift away from the traditional baking method of using normal wood plus sand for baking.
