The Association of Investigative Journalists (Collectif des Journalistes d’Investigation) has knighted Honourable Barrister Ngala Gerard for his leadership and promotion of peace and social Cohesion.
The award which was handed to him this morning in Douala recognizes the effort of the Member of Parliament for Nkambe Central in his role for ensuring the Divisional Headquarters of Donga Mantung is the Island of peace in a turbulent North West Region marked by an eight year old crisis.
The award further recognizes the efforts of the MP in Youth training and civic engagement. This salutes the MP for the numerous training and job opportunities offered to members of his constituency and Cameroon as a whole. The super class entrepreneur is known for employing hundreds of Cameroonians in his fleet of businesses in Douala and beyond.
Signed by Ignace Yombi and Tah Silvain, President of the Jury and President of the Association respectively, the Investigative Journalists recognized the outstanding contribution of Hon Ngala Gerard to the emergence of Cameroon.
The award also salutes his devotedness in serving and leading the community.
Speaking to The Observer, the Member of Parliament said "I am grateful to the organizers of this award for recognizing my modest contribution to my Constituency and to Cameroon as a whole. This gives me the opportunity and push to work harder and with a lot of determination and enthusiasm."
Hon Ngala Gerard's determination for community development, youth empowerment has been saluted across the board.
The member of parliament is also the CPDM Section President for Donga Mantung 1 in NKAMBE .
