New Dawn for MACUDA: General Assembly Adopts Revised Constitution, By-Laws


Executives of the Mankon Cultural and Development Association 


Delegates to the Extraordinary and ordinary General Assembly of the Mankon Cultural and Development Association, MACUDA, have adopted the association's revised constitution and by-laws.

Adopted in Bamenda on Saturday 25th January 2025, the new constitution seeks to settle the differences that exists amongst the various branches in and out of Cameroon.

As explained by the 1st National Vice President, Fru Isaac Taku, "The revised Constitution expounds the specificities of the various branches. We needed to move with evolution so that everybody feels onboard." Fru Isaac said.



Chapters will identify their projects meanwhile the Mankon Traditional Council and the quarter heads will ensure that funds are adequately mobilized and the projects will be realized through fundraising

To His Royal Majesty the Fon of Mankon, Fo Angwafo IV, "it is necessary to have binding rules so that they can government themselves. The revised constitution reflects our realities." Fo Angwafo IV.

The Annual General Meeting was attended by delegates from across Cameroon while those in the diaspora followed through zoom and contributed greatly to the success of the meeting. They also reflected on the development challenges  of the village which the Fon says development in synergy with the development association greatly up lift the village.

Mankon is the lone first class Fondom found in Bamenda and counts 76 quarters.
