Lamidos, Imans, Muslim Religious leaders from the Adamawa, North and Far North regions and the Imams of the Central Mosques of Yaounde and Douala have called on incumebent Paul Biya to be their candidate in the 2025 Presidential elelection.
They made the public call and handed their letter to Minister Atanga Nji Paul of Territorial Administration who promised to deliver the message expediently to the Head of State.
The MINAT boss said the call was not only a reaffirmation of their stand behind President Paul Biya, but also the renewal of their social contract with the Head of State.
The endorsement of the religious leaders comes on the hills of that of the Natonal Council of Traditional Rulers of Cameroon that held their elective general assembly at the Yaounde Conference Centre on Monday, January 27, 2025 and picked Paul Biya as their choice for the 2025 Presidential election in Cameroon.
The religious leaders from the three northern regions cited the rehabilitation of the Garoua-Ngaoundere and the Mora-Kousseri roads as gifts from President Paul Biya as well as his constant support to Muslim pilgrims going to the Muslim Holy places in Saudi Arabia.
They prayed for Allah to continuously bless President Paul Biya with wisdom and long life.
