While handing over the scrubs, Tuesday 7th January 2024 to the Director of the centre, Mayor Annatou called on the workers to continue their quality healthcare delivery to the population.
"Beginning the new year, I thought I should do something significant and I thought of the district hospital.when you are coming to the hospital, just the way you see the nurses and the doctors well dressed and neatly looking, you are confident that you will get well and that is where your healing starts" deputy mayor Annatou told the Observer.
Scrubs are the daily wear that healthcare workers are expected to put on while at work. The chief of centre, Dr Lembi Hilda narrated that these scrubs are acquired by the health workers are they're no unanimity. She salutes the donation by saying "it will bring unanimity to the hospital and we can easily identify any fake person around." Dr Lembi said.
From the nurses to the midwives and pharmacists, they appreciated Mayor Annatou Abrams for thinking about them at the beginning of the year and said it was a welcome action that will aid them in carrying out their work.
The recent visit of the Mayor adds to similar visits carried out by the Council and the Elite of the subdivision in ensuring that up-to-date health delivery is dispensed at the centre.
