As the year 2024 draws to a close, The Observer 237 and The Observer Newspaper has ranked Minister Felix Mbayu as its Man of the Year.
This comes after the review of his activities in the North West Region of Cameroon for the year 2024.
Minister Felix Mbayu who is Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of the Commonwealth, Mobilized the country and the world to succour the victims of the February 22nd fire disaster at the Bamenda Main Market.
The collection and transparent distribution of the money to the more than 350 victims by the Elite of the North West Region was saluted across the board.
Minister Felix Mbayu continued his usual largess to the Old Town Neighbourhood in Bamenda. Helping IDPs and the less privileged to go back-to-school.
The donation from the Minister was acknowledged in a ceremony to distribute didactic materials to the school going children by Humble Brothers Old Town common initiative group.
The continuous quest of Felix Mbayu to eradicate poverty from the lives of individuals affected by the crisis was seen as the Minister was seen donating a car to cab driver whose car was set ablaze.
The car which belongs to a physically challenged individual was set ablaze by separatist fighters at Che Street in Mankon. The donation from the Minister and his colleagues meant that the livelihood of an individual had been restored.
The exceptional Philanthropic works of the Minister including several donations and contributions to development associations, village and quarter groups earned him the title Nkyanti.
The title which means organiser, coordinator and the one who fixes recognizes the efforts of the Minister in the coordination of development activities in Bamenda and the North West Region.
The activities of Minister Mbayu add to several assistance given to the Muslim community and the youth.
The Observer's Editorial Team finds Minister Felix Mbayu worthy to receive the man of the year award while urging him to continue uplifting communities in the North West Region that has been plunged into recession, regression and abject poverty from the eight year old crisis.
Minister Felix Mbayu has not only combatted the crisis with ensuring that the relevant information is available, he has represented Cameroon in very salient diplomatic missions abroad.
