The 2025 Finance Bill of the Republic of Cameroon has been adopted at the National Assembly.
The bill was voted in a plenary sitting on Sunday 8th December 2924 chaired by the speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Calvaye Yeguie Djibril.
Following a detailed presentation on the different Ministries defended their budgetary allocations at the level of the committee level, Hon Ndongo Eteme Edgar, Rapporteur on the Committee of Finance and the Budget, the bill was presented for general debate.
Hon Joshua Osih questioned the Minister of Finance while the bill always came late. Other MPs decried the state of the roads across the country, while other concerns raised included the cost of living in Cameroon for 2025.
The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze responded to some worries raised by stating that the government did not deliberately decide to table the draft state budget late.
He however stated that the cost of living in Cameroon for 2025 will not witness an increase as the government is working very hard to curb Inflation.
The budget was adopted which stands at 7317.7 billion Francs CFA and the 2025 growth rate of Cameroon is projected at 4.1%.
