12 Members of Government have defended their budgetary allocations in front of the committee on Finance and the Budget of the National Assembly.
Chaired by the Hon Rosette Ayayi, the Ministers presented their priority projects for 2025.
These are the budgetary allocations.
- The Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Maigari Bello Bouba defended a draft budget 4 billion 309 million CFA Francs.
- The Ministry of Justice, budgets 74 billion 808 million CFA Francs.
- The Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo defended a draft budget of 136 billion 668 million CFA Francs.
- The Minister of External Relations, Lejune Mbella Mbella defended a draft budget of 48 billion 139 million CFA Francs.
- The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji defended a draft budget of 42 billion 510 million CFA Francs.
- The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Gregoire Owona defended a draft budget of 7 billion 900 million CFA Francs.
. The Minister of Public Contracts, Ibrahim Talba Malla defended a draft budget of 16 billion 790 million CFA Francs.
- The Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousman Mey defended a draft budget of 152 billion 132 million CFA Francs.
The Minister of Basic Education, Prof Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa defended a draft budget of 313 billion 624 million CFA Francs.
The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Jules Doret Ndongo defended a draft Budget of 22 billion 054 million CFA Francs.
The Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Joseph Le defended a draft budget of 18 billion 715 million CFA Francs
The Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, Georges Elanga Obam defended a draft budget of 126 billions 165 millions CFA Francs.
The passage before the members of the Finance and Budget committee of the National Assembly this Tuesday, 3rd December 2024 comes two days after the submission of the 2025 finance bill of the Republic which stands at 7,250.8 billion.
Following the tabling of the Finance bill, the Prime Minister, Head of Government presented Government's Social and Economic program for 2025 with a projected growth rate of 4.1%.
