Bamenda I Municipality salutes Dr Taniform Peter for exceptional works
Dr. Taniform Peter is a
politician who has made significant contributions to his Bamendakwe and the Bamenda I municipality. As the CPDM Section President of Mezam I A (Bamenda I municipality) in the North West region, he has been instrumental in promoting peace and social cohesion through sports.
One of his notable initiatives is the organization of a local sports tournament in Bamendankwe, which has become an annual event. The tournament aims to bring together young people from different backgrounds and promote peace, unity, and social cohesion. The event has received widespread support from local authorities, traditional rulers, and the community at large.
Dr. Taniform Peter's efforts in promoting peace and social cohesion have been recognized by the authorities, including the Governor of the North West Region, who has praised his initiative as a model for promoting peace and unity in the region.
In addition to his work in promoting peace and social cohesion, Dr. Taniform Peter has also been involved in other community development initiatives, including education and healthcare.
He has been able to create a sense of accountability on community projects in Bamenda I by carrying out supervision on projects carried out by the Mayor and also calling on the population to be actively involved in owning projects.

This aspect of accountability took him to the Bamenda proximity stadium under construction, roads, the gas plant which is almost complete, medicalized health centers and the extension of water.
It is the first of its kind that a Section President has undertaken a visit to projects implemented by the council. To Dr Taniform Peter, the party that invested the Mayor had its program and it is incumbent on the Mayor and councillors to realize them.
After touring the project sites, he rates the performance of the Mayor as satisfactory.
This novelty from the section President was welcome across the board as something tangible to promoting local development. He is also noted for being the first to present peace plants and white doves during national days and party events.
