Quizzed by the Section President, Cletus Anye Matoyah why he decided to carry out this activity, he said;

"We got some groundnut oil, maagi, flour for puff puff, and we had to share with everyone.We got some palm oil and meat.

"Our communal leader, the Mayor, has always done it by himself, with the bike riders.This time around we had to join to make sure we encourage the social groups that have been with us, the councillors and the executives of the party who have been doing much with us.We are moving to a very, very tight political, 2025 and 2026.

"Well, our little efforts have been a collective band effort, where we put our heads together, our resources together, at the level of the section, at the level of the municipality, to make sure we move together as a one-man band, because it pays to move like a block." Cletus Anye Matoyah said.

In appreciation, the Mayor of Bamenda II, Chenwi Peter saluted the efforts of the Section President.

"God did not only bless him with wisdom and strength but with the ability to share with everyone. Look at the crowd here today. It is simply amazing. This is also a call that the population of Bamenda II needs sustainable development and we are working tirelessly to ensure that this happens." Chenwi Peter assured the population.

With songs from the groups, the Forest children led by Jato Sonita, and playback artists, the effervescence of the event grew higher as the day came to a close.

Some witnesses amongst them the First Deputy Mayor, Tse Louis Angwafo appreciated the Section President and called on him to continue with such initiatives especially within this period of Christmas. The period he says weighs heavily on the pockets of medium income earners.

This is the third year in a row that officials of the party or the CPDM-led council have come out to share foodstuffs at Christmas.

Bike riders and Buyam Sellams have been previous beneficiaries.
