Chenwi Peter: 2024 Charismatic Social Mobilizer working for Humanity



Mayor Chenwi Peter 

In his characteristic fashion of always coming to the aid of the less privileged, supporting humanitarian works of the less priviledged, donating foodstuffs and books to bike riders and Buyam Sellams, the Mayor carried out a significant donation to the Bamenda Metropolitan Cathedral.

Bags of cement was donated to aid the current refurbishment of the Cathedral. 

At the Metropolitan Cathedral 

A guided tour round the facility was done by the Archbishop Andrew Fuanya Nkea who stated that the project is expected to finish in March 2025. He also highlighted that the originality of the structure will not be touched but it will be embellished.

CMF Ntamulung came to Commune with Mayor Chenwi 

 Over in the Presbyterian Church of Cameroon, PCC, the Christian Men's Fellowship, CMF, deeply appreciated the Mayor for his contributions to the group to foster the spread of the Bible and the movement.

In a service at the council premises, the President of CMF Ntamulung handed the CMF fabric, a clock to appreciate the Mayor.

This show of appreciation gave room for the Mayor and his close aides to officially launch the 2024 harvest thanksgiving which was described by the Reverend Ambe as exceptional.

Regarding the Bamenda II bike riders, Chenwi Peter has facilitated their registration and licensing, providing them with identification cards and licenses. He has also organized training sessions for bike riders, focusing on road safety, customer service, and business management. Moreover, Chenwi Peter has provided back to school support to bike riders with didactic materials, to enable them have a smooth school resumption for their children . These initiatives demonstrate Chenwi Peter's commitment to improving the lives of bike riders and promoting their economic empowerment through the donation of food supplies.

Mayor Chenwi Peter's works are evident through the several awards won through 2024 notably the G2G excellence award. Bike riders and service users of the Bamenda II council have nicknamed him "Jesus Christ II" underscoring his meritorious works and commitment towards ensuring sustainable development in the Bamenda II municipality.

His social actions adds to the numerous development projects of construction of a low cost housing which is ongoing, the purchase of heavy duty equipment, the establishment of relations with council of Brampton, the construction of bridges, culverts, boreholes, construction of community halls have marked his stay in office.
