Within the sidelines of Establishing the African Business Center: Mayor Chenwi Peter Distinguished in Canada

Emmauel Ntoko regards Mayor Chenwi as a Grassroot leader with a rare gem

After his working visit to Canada last August 2024, at which visit he signed a Partnership Agreement with the City Council of Brampton in Ontario, Mayor Peter CHENWI embarked on a follow-up mission this November 2024.

This time around, the focus was on a planning meeting for the establishment of an African Business Center (ABC), the first African Mall to be established in Toronto, Canada. Mayor Peter CHENWI and Bamenda II Council have been invited to play a key role in the creation of the ABC, whereby Bamenda II Council will showcase some agricultural and other products that the Region is blessed with, and at the same time promote the Made in Cameroon Label.

On the sidelines of the ABC Conference,  Mayor Peter CHENWI decorated Mr. Emmanuel Ntoko, a patriotic Cameroonian who has been accomplishing much for the Fatherland, in various forms. It should be recalled that Mr. Ntoko organized a warm reception for the Mayor during his last visit, supported the 2024 Back-to-school Project of the Bamenda II Council, as well as the distribution of medical equipment to some Health Centers in Bamenda II Municipality.

While appreciating Mr. Ntoko for what he is doing for Cameroonians in Canada and back home, Mayor Peter CHENWI encouraged him not to relent in doing good and bringing together Cameroonians in Canada. The Mayor proceeded to adorn him and wife in North West Traditional Regalia (toghu). He further handed him a gift from the Mayors of Bamenda, as a mark of their recognition.

While appreciating the Mayor for the mark of Recognition, Mr. Emmanuel Ntoko promised not to relent his efforts towards bringing together Cameroonians in the diaspora and back home, for peace, unity and development of the Fatherland. He expressed his total commitment to mobilize Cameroonians based in Canada to get registered on the Voters' Registers so as to be ready to perform their civic duties as we approach elections in Cameroon.

He further disclosed that his doors were widely open to all Mayors from the North West Region and Cameroon at large, visiting Canada for one development activity or another. Mr. Emmanuel Ntoko then extended warm greetings to North West elites for the giant strides they are making towards bringing back peace and normalcy to the Region, notwithstanding the challenges.
