The Social Democratic Front Party, the SDF, has held its first district conference in Bali in seven years.
The conference that took place on Wednesday 13th November 2024, brought together party militants and sympathizers from all the various wings of the party.
Unable to actively mobilize towards any electoral activity since the start of the Anglophone crisis in 2016, the Electoral District Chair, Babila Moses noted that the conference taking place in Bali is the dawn of a new era.
"I couldn't imagine this massive turnout considering the circumstances of the time. It has been seven years and counting that the SDF party has been silent in Bali due to the ongoing Anglophone Crisis that all of us know. For you all to have braved the odds to be here today shows your dedication and commitment to the party.This conference today marks the dawn of a new era for the SDF party in the Bali Electoral District" Babila Moses said.
Former SDF Mayor for Bali, Nyamsenkwen Christopher called for massive voters registration when the electoral registers open in January.
"With the renewed enthusiasm I have witnessed here today, the CPDM will be quashed in any future elections." Nyamsenkwen said.
The party after consulting the recently published statistics from Elections Cameroon, ELECAM, the party will be needing a total of 177 polling agents and scrutineers in upcoming elections.
To this end, the party designated 17 coordinators in the 17 villages that make up Bali Nyongha as well as adopted a budget of six million Francs CFA for 2025.
While saluting the efforts of Senator Vanagasen MoChiggle for working with grassroot militants, the party assured all and sundry that victory in future elections is assured.
Also present at the conference were district chairmen of Batibo, Ngie and Tubah electoral districts.
