Christians of Presbyterian Church Ntamulung have been thrilled by the dance steps of the Mayor of Bamenda II and the Director General of MIDENO as they officially launched the 2024 harvest Thanksgiving.

Mayor Chenwi Peter and Cletus Anye Matoyah together with the councillors of Bamenda II and some staff handed an envelope of One Million francs to officially unveil the 2024 harvest.

To Mayor Chenwi, his contribution to the church is for the workable prayers that have helped his council this far.

"We have had councillors in other councils that have been killed, Mayors killed. In Bamenda II, we have not been harmed and it is by the will of God. If we labour and do not work in the vineyard of the Lord, we are labouring in vain." Mayor Chenwi remarked.

To the Director General of the North West Development Authority, MIDENO, the church is an integral part of the development of the council area.

To reiterate words earlier mentioned by the clergy, Cletus Anye Matoyah encouraged Christians who are not yet married to make use of the council and formalize their unions.

"When men die, most at times their women and children are tormented by their relatives. Especially in situations where they're not formally married. I wish to urge you to work with the pastors who will intend work with the council to formalize these unions." Cletus Anye Matoyah said.

With a target of 27.5 million Francs, the GM of MIDENO and the Mayor promised to mobilize more resources and officially close the harvest on December 1.

"We taken unawares. We will go back, re-strategize and come back with 10 times what we have given today."  Cletus Anye Matoyah said.

Preaching under the theme: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. For God loves a cheerful giver, drawn from 2 Corinthians 9:6-9, the Rev Fobang Geraldine called on the Christians to give the best of their harvest to God.
