Hon Ghejung Awunti, Commissioner of Economic Development donating backpacks

Before the start of the ongoing crisis in the North West and South West Regions, Inclusive Government School Bambili had a school attendance of 307 but the 2023/2024 session just 63 pupils could turnout.

It is in this light of ensuring that more pupils go to school that the Commissioner for Economic Development at the North West Regional Assembly, Honourable Ghejung Awunti, decided to donate backpacks to pupils and students for an effective back-to-school.

To be more precise, the French and English sections of the school recorded an outstanding 100 percent in both the FSLC and CEP examinations.  Ghejung Awunti was clear that children going back to school is a non-negotiable factor.

"We are here to encourage more pupils and students to get back to school. We are hoping that the parents will heed to this call and our kids will be in school."

"I wish to promise the Head Teachers that a computer lab will be equipped before December in this school. All we need is massive enrollment."

The parents who turned out to witness the occasion expressed their sincere thanks to Honourable Awunti for coming to their aid at this point in time. Citing that it is well timed and greatly appreciated.

The parents likewise took a commitment not to leave any child behind as schools re-open on the 9th September 2024.
