Mezam SDO (L) setting the records straight

The session underscored the council's commitment to transparency and accountability, as well as its dedication to fostering development in Tubah. As the year progresses, the council aims to ensure that all financial records are accurate and that projects continue to meet the needs of the community.

One of th high points of the day was the presentation of pending reports from the finance committee. This report had been withheld during the Budgetary session in April due to inaccuracies in the figures presented.

The absence of the former municipal treasurer was identified as a critical factor contributing to the discrepancies in the financial records.

As a result, the finance committee was tasked with a 10-day follow-up period to revise and correct the records to align with the data in the council's accounting software, SIMBA.

In addition to financial matters, the works committee showcased the various projects executed by the council throughout 2024. Their presentation received positive feedback from the municipal councilors, reflecting a satisfactory confirmation of the council's ongoing efforts to improve the community.
