Speaking as he commissioned the building to God, Andrew Nkea informed all present that the hospital has the qualified medical personnel to attend to them.

"We set out to do this building to ensure that people do not leave the North West Region to seek medical care out of the country or in other regions. We have specialized Doctors who are consulting already. Like a Urologist, a Neurologist a Gynaecologist who are already working."

"I wish to solemnly declare that no franc to construct this building came from abroad. This is a product of the Bamenda Archdiocese and we are grateful to our Christians." His Grace Andrew Nkea said.

Constructed over a period of 34 months, the hospital has 120 beds divided into five floors. It also has four theatres to address very complicated illments.

According to the proprietor of the hospital, Andrew Nkea, the floors are named after the pioneer Archbishop of Bamenda, Paul Verdzekov, the Diocese of Portsmouth, Joe Mubang who donated an envelope of 30 million Francs to the realization of the project, retired Archbishop Cornelius Fontem Esua and current shepherd, Archbishop Andrew Nkea.

The hospital building is constructed with locally made materials that can auto regulate the temperature, maintaining a constant room temperature despite the weather conditions out of the building.

The hospital will have a CT scan machine and MRI. This to the applause of the Regional Delegate of Public Health, Dr Kingsley Che Soh. "To have hospitals with such machines is not very common and the bed space will greatly ease access to quality healthcare in the region." Dr Che Soh said.

Sister Felicitas, Metron of the Hospital

To Sister Felicitas, metron of the hospital, she and her staff pledged to treat patients with general love and care. "We want to improve on the care we give patients. We will ensure that they have an exceptional stay in our care every time they visit this hospital." Sister Felicitas remarked.

The St Blaise Hospital has facilities to ease the movement of persons with disabilities especially those with mobility impairment.

Opened when the region is undergoing a devastating lockdown, Archbishop Nkea saluted the dedication of the staff and highlighted that this is testimony that no matter the prevailing socio-political climate in the region, the hospital will run.
