The Member of Parliament of the Bafut-Tubah constituency, Hon Agho Oliver has been Knighted.
He was conferred a medal of Knight of Cameroon Order of Merit at the Bamenda commercial Avenue Grandstand.
This is in recognition of his services to the people of the two subdivisions he is representing in parliament.
Known for his numerous contributions towards developmental projects, contributions in terms of farm and agricultural inputs, donation of roofing sheets and scholarships to the youth, Hon Agho Oliver has been known by many as a true representation of a grassroot leader and an example for youths to follow as he for since his installation as MP of his constituency, he concentrates his activities most often on youths
Shortly after receiving the medal, he said it is a sign of recognition and a call to work harder.
"This medal of recognition to me represents motivation and an encouragement to the youthS of this region, because I want to dedicate this medal to all the youths of this region, especially those who have been trapped in this crisis.So I think that it's an encouragement for all the youths of this region that no matter what you are doing, at every little corner that you find yourself, know that the Lord is seeing you and the Lord will use his servant the head of state to recognise you.''
A total of 51 recipients were awarded medals at the Bamenda commercial Avenue Grandstand.
Activities marking the 52nd edition of the National Day unfolded in Cameroon under the theme; " Army and Nation, Together for a United, Peaceful and Prosperous Cameroon."
Commemorative activities in Bamenda were chaired by the Governor of the North West, Adolf Lele Lafrique.
