The proprietor of Big G VIP hotel and bar, Chenwi Gilbert Mzeka has been awarded for his outstanding services in empowering at least 40 young persons during times of crisis.
The award was handed Saturday 2nd March 2024 by the North West Regional correspondent of My Media Prime TV, Charles Kebua.
In presenting the award, My Media Prime TV congratulated Mzeka Gilbert for his resilience, state fastness and endurance during the time of crisis.
"This award is to encourage him to continue doing what he has been doing in philanthropy, youth empowerment and the advancement of economic activities in Bamenda during the period where we have seen several businesses fold up. The viewers of the TV station, journalists of the North West Region attest to his bravery, reliability and philanthropy." Charles Kebua told The Observer.
On hand to give the award in a ceremony organized in Bamenda was the Divisional Officer for Bamenda III, Austin Sakah.
He encouraged the business man to stay true to doing business within the subdivision and to continue to put a smile on the faces on the numerous IDPs resident in Bamenda III.
A total of 50 IDPs received rice, oil, buckets and Maggi from the CEO of Big G VIP. He encouraged them to stay focused and remain strong despite the hardship encountered during this time of crisis.
" I did not know that the little work I was doing in my little corner could be appreciated to this level. I am pleased with this award and I want to promise that I will not relent in my efforts to continue supporting the downtrodden in our community." Chenwi Gilbert Mzeka said.
Groups like the Mbagalum and the Mansoh Dance group of Mbessi animated the event.
Big G VIP is currently undergoing restructuring and a new building will host the bar close to the main road at S-bend in Nkwen.
The complex currently houses a swimming pool, a lounge and a hotel plus lock up shed for business.
The CEO says Big G VIP is the place for exceptional comfort and relaxation.
