The CPDM section President for Mezam IB, Cletus Anye Matoyah has saluted the performance report card of the elected representatives from his section.
Cletus Anye Matoyah was speaking shortly after a joint section conference, bringing together militants of the CPDM, WCPDM and YCPDM.
"The Mayor of Bamenda II presented the projects he has been able to realize and also projections for the next two years. The setting up of the equipment pool is a giant project that will go a long way in helping to solve the infrastructural problems of the Municipality. We are also very proud that all the communities and villages have received projects. This is the spirit of building together, better.
"Also, we applauded the bills that have been defended, voted and promulgated into law. The MP explained some of the recent bills to us and we are quite happy that he took into consideration the aspirations of the people of Bamenda II." Matoyah told the Observer.
The Mezam IB party boss was emphatic that these achievements and gains made over the last few years will go a long way into maintaining the CPDM as controllers of the Bamenda II Mayoral seat and the Mezam Central parliamentary seat.
The joint section conference, the very first since the last re-organisation of the party in 2021, is geared towards taking stock of the life of the party and encouraging militants not to stumble.
In this light, the President of the WCPDM, Joko Frida said they will multiply meetings to get back women who had left because of the insecurity, to come back while some internally Displaced women and vulnerable children will be trained in arts and crafts.
A message widely applauded by the women who say this is the right way to go as many women who left the comfort of their villages are almost doing nothing in town. This they say is development politics.
On their part, the youth of Mezam IB through the Voice of Nche Fru Abongwa, YCPDM Section President highlighted the great strides youth have done to ensure that normalcy returns to the section.
Abongwa noted that never will the youths of Mezam IB be known as barbaric and "Never will our generation be known as those who thwarted the hopes of our forefathers and Never will our generation be known as the one who did not stand for peace." Abongwa told the youth.
The jubilant militants of Mezam IB thanked the hierarchy of the party to continue working hard to project the image of the party.
In his words, the President of the North West Regional Assembly, Prof Fru Angwafo III saluted the initiative and called on the party hierarchy to multiply such joint section conferences as a means of checking the vitality of the party at the grassroots.
