Parents of pupils attending Catholic School Azire have hailed the Archbishop of the Bamenda Archdiocese Andrew Nkea for erecting a modern infrastructure which befits present day educational standards.
This was during a Parents Teachers Association, PTA, meeting held at the school hall Saturday 22 April 2023.
Addressing the press, the president of the PTA Kebua Charles appreciated the newly constructed building while emphasizing that for the children of today to be good leaders tomorrow, they need holistic education.
“We gave a standing ovation to the Archbishop for the wonderful edifice he has put up. Education is the priority and for these kids to be the leaders of tomorrow, they must go through Holistic education and that can only be done at Catholic School Azire”
Catholic Education Secretary for the Archdiocese of Bamenda Fr. Charles Ngoubi in appreciation to the first PTA meeting held in two years, opined that it should be yearly and that the church is doing all to see that education remains on top priority, balanced and holistic.
“The children are the future of the family and the nation. I want to assure you that the Catholic Education agency in the archdiocese of Bamenda is prepared to do nothing but the best for these young Cameroonians. We must evoke change and it is through these children, giving them a balanced education which is holistic.”
So far the PTA led by Kebua Charles have been able to bring in potable water into the campus, drain the pit toilet, provide water system toilets, painting of classroom boards, provision of benches, a guarantee to parents that sending their children to CS Azire Small Mankon, their welfare and wellbeing is guaranteed.
Confidence was bestowed on the current President while other members were voted in, to ensure a smooth functioning of the association and for greater prospects.
“All of us are here for the children. Anything that has to derail the child, anything that will not benefit that child means we are not parents.” Wise words Fr. Charles imbedded in parents as they closed for the day.
