The head of the CPDM campaign team for Mezam, Felix Mbayu and the permanent Divisional team leader for Mezam, Paul Atanga Nji have consulted with councillors of the seven council areas that make up Mezam for a fruitful result come March 12.
The CPDM kingpins called on the councillors to be disciplined, avoid provocation and respect the guidelines of the party before, during and after the elections.
The party hierarchy said there is no room for errors as the CPDM party is looking to reconquer the 7 seats lost in 2018.
To them, Victory is a must as the party seeks to score a 100 percent come polling day.
Minister Felix Mbayu explained to all the councillors that they cannot listen to candidates who did not come around for the last five years, who have no track record and who have refused to take the interest of the nation first.
The Mayors of the seven councils that make up Mezam each took turns to explain the readiness of its councillors ahead of the March 12 polls. In total, 230 of the 241 expected councillors answered present.
This to Minister Mbayu is a great number and speaks of the political intention of the CPDM to make things right and make Mezam great again.
Two days to polling day, the party has cautioned it's Militants to desist from putting on party regalia, while emphasis has been laid on how the voting will be done.
As at press time, more than 95% of the councillors had collected their voter's card.
According to the Divisional charge de mission, Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, there is nothing to worry about.
The councillors are being challenged to vote for the CPDM as a safeguard to their political future.
Prof Mrs Neba Ndosiri Bridget is running as the party's candidate in Mezam Division.
The professor of Chemistry and affiliated to the University of Yaounde I has toured all the seven council areas in the last two weeks and promises to bring a female touch to Parliamentary business if elected.
The gender advocate is currently serving as Technical Adviser Number One to the Minister of Women's Empowerment and the family.
Campaigns will officially close at midnight of March 11th, 2023.
