NW Junior MPs visit Hon Agho Oliver
Cameroon's youngest Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Agho Oliver has schooled Junior Parliamentarians from the NWR on the need to be exemplary, be peace crusaders and to work hand in glove with MPs from their constituency in particular and the region in general in the execution of their plans of action.
The MP from Bafut/Tubah constituency was speaking to the Junior MPs at the Hotel des Deputes in Yaounde, Friday 11 February 2021.
Agho said it was but normal as youngest MP in the current legislature to receive his brothers and sisters from the NW and talk and share ideas with them on happenings in the region, get their expectations and difficulties.
He underscored the need for youth from NW and the nation at large to uphold values of patriotism, civic behavior among others.
He challenged the junior MPs to be peace ambassadors, be role models of other NW youth, be respectful to MPs of their constituency and other municipal and regional authorities, and to collaborate with all and sundry for the development of the region.
The reception comes as the junior MPs just ended the 4th edition of Youth Parliamentary session in Yaounde.
Also present at the reception were Honorables Ngang Prodencia Awa of Momo East (Mbengwi), Kumase Simon Powoh of Mezam South (Santa) and Nestus Fru Manju of Mezam Centre.
The law makers pledged to fully support the Junior MPs in all their activities and to always liaise with them to ensure the return to peace in all the constituencies.
The lawmakers enjoined the junior MPs to preach peace to their peers in the region and see how they can use their own experience as youth to lure those carrying arms in the bushes to lay them down, give peace a chance, resume normal life and join in the reconstruction of the region.
