The 26th edition of the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope was a resounding success this February 27,2021. The entire Molyko stadium, the rest of Buea and the towns of Limbe, Douala, Yaounde, Mutengene were all clad in the incumbent operator's colours.
As official Sponsor, Camtel did not only provide logistics and resources for the event's organisation. It set aside a special prize dubbed the Special FAKO PRIZE for the first male and female athletes to reach the summit. Each bagged a whopping FCFA 500000.
On the sidelines of the Race, Madam the General Manager of Camtel, Judith Yah Sunday Achidi, chose to extend the company's corporate social responsibility to the Ex-combatants of the DDR Centre in Buea. This material comprised of matresses, bags of rice, laundry soap, vegetable oil, toiletteries and more.
Marvelled by the support which comes just a few months after a similar gesture in the Bamenda DDR Centre, beneficiaries said they lacked words to express their joy. They prayed God to continue blessing the company and its General Manager to continue impacting the lives of the needy.
For the Corporate Communication and Public Relations Officer of Camtel, Benedict Ndinwa, " Camtel is committed to supporting efforts that can help restore sustainable peace in our beloved fatherland and help reignite the spirit of oneness, integration and national unity."
