Mafor Yah Sunday Mourns death, fetes Christmas with persons living with disabilities

Persons living with disabilities are the most affected since the start of the Anglophone crisis. Some with mobility impairment have been caught in cross fires as they find it difficult to run from volatile zones

Increasingly, persons with disabilities have been asking for assistance to cope with the difficulties posed by the current situation

In other to wipe the tears from their eyes and assist persons with disabilities better celebrate Christmas, the General Manager of CAMTEL, Judith Yah Sunday handed gifts of basic necessities Thursday 24th December 2020

"Some of the children here face difficulties to raise funds and go to school. So I decided to put hands together with the DO to see how to pay some of their fees, and also buy some didactics for them to be able to go to school effectively" CAMTEL GM encouraged the PWDs

Beneficiaries

Accompanied by the Mafors of the region, the GM encouraged them to be visionary and try to be self sustaining especially as they have the support of the Queen mothers

Rice, Oil, soap, toilet tissue, tomatoes and salt were handed to the PWDs who are internally displaced

To a beneficiary, she was happy with the support from the GM

"Thank you very much Mafors for coming to support us. There is so much joy in my heart because I know I will be celebrating Christmas with ease"

The gesture from Ma Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi preceded a general outcry by mothers and Mafors of the region for an end to the killings in the North West and South West Regions

In a statement read out by the Mafor of Bambui, they cried out loud against the brutal killing of HRH Chief Ngale Ikome of Dibanda village in Buea, South West Region

They recalled Ngarbuh and the Kumba Killings. They remembered Comfort Tumasang and Florence Ayafor whose bodies were chopped off

"We the Mafors of the North West region are gathered here today to mourn and express our indignation and deep pain and to say Never again. We team for peace, Drop the guns and stop the violence"

The cry this December 24th adds to that previously conducted by the Mafors in November. December 24 makes exactly two months since 7 kids were brutally killed in Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in Kumba
