The Divisional officer for Bamenda I, Gilbert Guida has told quarter heads that everything is ready for an effective back to school on Monday October 5, 2020
The reassurance was made Friday 2nd October at the council hall as educational stakeholders met with quarter heads to brainstorm a hitch free start to the new school year
The inspector of Basic Education for Bamenda I, Agnes Lum Atanga used the opportunity to encourage parents to send their children to do technical education
"The percentage of children in technical schools is very low in Bamenda. The future of our children lies in this sector" she told the quarter heads
Quarters whose schools have not yet been prepared for an effective school resumption next week were encouraged to do so before Monday
The meeting with Quarter heads preceded the distribution of Didactic materials to schools operating in the Bamenda I Municipality
The council area is one that has had its schools operate without hitches since the start of the anglophone crisis in 2016
