The Member of Parliament for Bafut-Tubah Constituency, Hon Agho Oliver has handed over didactic materials to over 200 children drawn from Bafut and Tubah council areas.
The children whose parents have either been killed or their properties destroyed were the beneficiaries of the back to school gesture offered by the member of Parliament.
While handing the materials which consisted of 10 books, 10 facemasks, a mathset, 11 pens and a ruler to each of the children, the MP called on them and their parents to forgive those who wronged and placed them in such a position.
"Look a place in your heart to forgive those who committed these atrocities either directly or indirectly" he said.
Primary and secondary school going children have suffered a backlash for four years now with school going activities not at it's peak.
The 1st Deputy Mayor of Tubah, Nsaboh Nelson Atoh described Tubah as an educational hub in the North West. He challenged parents to brave the odds and send their children to school
"Tubah is that place where those from far and near always come to pursue their dreams and become great people tomorrow", he explained.
Parents of the beneficiaries applauded the MP who has come to their rescue for the start of the new school year
"May God continue to bless the MP. He is indeed a good man. Sending these kids to school will no longer be a herculean tasks for me" Mami Akumbom narrated.
The gesture this Sunday 27th September 2020 at the DOs office in Tubah adds to roofing sheets previously distributed by the MP in Bafut and Tubah shortly after the March 22 election rerun.
Hon Agho Oliver has also donated a generator to the public security post in Bambili to ease the production of National Identity Cards.
