Following measures laid down by the Government to fight against the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Governor of the Southwest Region; Bernard Okalia Bilai on the 31 March 2020 signed a Communique that will as well ensure the safety of the residents of this area
With the most targeted being owners of entertainment spots such as bars, restaurants and their customers: drinking and eating in such places has henceforth been prohibited through out the region.
The Governor also laid emphasis on the fact that persons who decide to buy from these joints should carry the products home for consumption.
He also called the attention of the forces of law and order to ensure the strict implementation of these measures considering the fact that the number of those tested positive is alarming.
