Adolphe Lele L'Afrique Enforces Government 13 Measures to Curb COVID-19



The Governor of the North west region, Adolphe Lele L'Afrique this Tuesday March 31,  2020 called on the population of the Northwest region to respect the 13 rules put in place by the Government of Cameroon and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He was speaking at Matazem, main entrance into the North West region.



The Governor also encouraged the medical team put in place by the regional delegate of Public Health for the North West who have been working round the clock.

"I want to congratulate these medical personnels who had been on the field since making sure that the virus should not enter our region with this screening exercise", Governor Adolphe Lele said.

The Governor also visited some travel agencies to ascertain the level of implementation of the preventive measures.



At Amour Mezam just like at Moghamo and Vatican Express, the Governor checked for himself the sitting position of passengers in all vehicles leaving the region to see if they are respecting the one metres social distance. At the various agencies, all irregularities noticed by the governor and his team were addressed by the medical team.

At the Bamenda main market and food market, the governor inspected some of the sanitisers and called on the population to beware of fake ones that have flooded the markets.

He warned those producing fake sanitisers  that they will be identified and punished according to the law.




The governor later visited the Bamenda regional hospital where he was enlightened with the measures put in place by the director of the hospital, Dr. Denis Nsame to combat suspected cases of the coronavirus victims in the region. The ward known as solidarity ward has been earmarked and has all it takes at the  moment to combat the virus in the region.
